The Big Bad Fox

and Other Tales      The thing that actually got me to watching this animation was the beauty of it. One of its directors is Ernest and Celestine's creator Benjamin Renner, so the artwork is almost identical - beautifully flowing watercolors and simple lines without too much details. Patrick Imbert, a painter and animation director in the previous movie, is now a full-time dirctor and he has done a great job. Again.      The story was based on Benjamin Renner's original comics and the shorts were connected into a feature movie. The plot is childish and sweet, with a fairytale feeling. Farm animals taking care of a human baby, forest predators taking care of chickens, and all kinds of animals saving Christmas and Santa. :D        No serious analyzes would suit this movie, but watch it with your kids. MFKZ

       I first heard about Mutafukaz (MFKZ) two years ago, following Animation  is Film Festival. It sounded crazy and fun so I kept it in mind. Of   course it is one of the many alternative (not Disney/Pixar/Dream Works)  animations that don’t get to the cinemas in my country so I had to wait right  until last week to finally see it.       The story is based on the original comic of Guillaume Renard, who is  also a co-director to the movie. Shojiro Nishimi is the one,  representing the anime part. A French-Japanese collaboration of a   superhero-action-thriller was amusing to watch, even though not  obsessive (I personally fell asleep twice).       The plot, I suppose, was meant for kids 12-16 years old, but the  deliberately obscene language, the violence and cruelty put it in the Red  restriction age (over 17 in USA).
